Always Was (EP)
Adam Briggs (born 28 August 1986), known professionally by the mononym Briggs, is an Aboriginal Australian (Yorta Yorta) rapper, record label owner, comedy writer, actor, and author. Briggs became well known as a solo artist, signing with Golden Era Records in 2009, before co-founding the hip hop duo A.B. Original in 2016 with Trials from the Funkoars. In 2025, Briggs debuted a new hardcore punk project, Big Noter. As a solo artist, Briggs has released one EP, ''Homemade Bombs'' in 2009, and two albums: 2010's ''The Blacklist'' and 2014's ''Sheplife''. He has made appearances on songs with Hilltop Hoods, the Funkoars, Drapht, and The Last Kinection, as well as supporting a number of international artists. "Always was, always will be Aboriginal land", sometimes abbreviated to "Always was, always will be" or just "Always will be", is an iconic phrase and rallying cry of the Aboriginal land rights movement in Australia. Origin The phrase is said to have originated in the 1980s, with the Barkandji people in far-western New South Wales, who were fighting for legal recognition and rights as sovereign owners of their homelands. The campaign was led by William Bates, which saw the first national park in NSW returned to its traditional owners. Kevin Michael "GG" Allin (born Jesus Christ Allin; August 29, 1956 – June 28, 1993) was an American punk rock musician who performed and recorded with many groups during his career. His live performances often featured transgressive art, transgressive acts, including Self-harm, self-mutilation, defecation, defecating on stage, and assaulting audience members, for which he was arrested and imprisoned on multiple occasions.
