Jonas Erik Altberg (; born 22 December 1984), known professionally as Basshunter, is a Swedish singer, record producer, songwriter and DJ. Basshunter has recorded five studio albums: ''The Bassmachine'' (2004), ''LOL'' (2006), ''Now You're Gone – The Album'' (2008), ''Bass Generation'' (2009), and ''Calling Time'' (2013). In addition to his own music, he has written for El Capon, Mange Makers, and Lana Scolaro. He has taken part in the seventh series of the British reality television show ''Celebrity Big Brother'', episodes of the Swedish game show '' Fångarna på fortet'', and an episode of the British television quiz show ''Weakest Link''. Basshunter has won awards such as a European Border Breakers Award (2008), a Musikförläggarnas pris in category Newcomer of the Year (2006), and a Telia award for Best Ringtone of the Year (2007). Calling Time
''Calling Time'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. It was released on 13 May 2013. Background and release Basshunter started working on the album in October 2010. It was announced that the album will feature the single "Saturday", released 5 July 2010. It was initially planned that the album would be released in early 2011. Now You're Gone – The Album
''Now You're Gone – The Album'' is the third studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. Released on 14 July 2008, it is his debut English language album, entering the UK Albums Chart at number one, and selling in excess of 329,717 copies in the UK making it platinum. In New Zealand, the album peaked at number one in its fifth week, and was certified platinum and selling over 20,000 copies. The album spent a total of two weeks at number one. Reception Ronny Larsson from '' QX'' noted that the English-language lyrics no longer refer to the data as they did on the '' LOL'' album, but still sings on about nonsense, adding that dance music lyrics are not too poetic. ''Bass Generation'' is the fourth studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. It was first released on 28 September 2009, a week after the album's lead single " Every Morning". The album reached No. 2 in New Zealand and No. 7 in South Africa. Background In early 2009, Basshunter started the process of recording the album. A comment was posted on his official website in April that he was "back in the studio to do some work on the new album." ''LOL'' (stylized ''LOL ''; LOL is short for " laughing out loud", and is an emoticon for "satisfied") is the second studio album by the Swedish musician Basshunter, and was released on 28 August 2006 by Warner Music Sweden. An international edition was released on 22 December 2006, with a red version of the cover artwork. The international version includes the original album's Swedish songs (with the exception of "Sverige") with their titles translated into English, a slightly-different track order and additional tracks, including "Jingle Bells". Background On 21 November 2005, Basshunter announced that he was working on a new album and had completed ten songs. He announced his upcoming single "Welcome to Rainbow" the following month, and it was released on 1 April 2006. ''The Bassmachine'' is the debut studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. It was released on 25 August 2004 by Alex Music. In 2005 a remastered version of this album was released, with better sound quality and volume. In 2006 album was released on Basshunter webpage as ''The Bass Machine''. All tracks listed on the album were re-released on ''The Early Bedroom Sessions'' in 2012. Background and release The release date was originally scheduled for July 2004. Before the release on 25 August by Alex Music album was available to pre-order. Sample of album from Alex Music contained unreleased track. Basshunter wrote and produced all tracks. On 21 September the promo single "Syndrome de Abstenencia" was released by Alex Music and the only single from album, "The Big Show" was self-released by Basshunter on 27 October. Basshunter, a Swedish singer, record producer and DJ, has released five studio albums, two compilation albums, 29 singles, five promotional singles and seven remixes. ''The Bassmachine'', Basshunter's debut studio album, was released by Alex Music on 25 August 2004. In April 2006, he signed his first contract with Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden. His single "Boten Anna" charted at number one on the Danish singles chart, where it stayed for fourteen weeks; it was certified triple platinum by IFPI Danmark. "Boten Anna" also reached number one in the Swedish singles chart and was certified platinum by IFPI Sverige. His second studio album ''LOL'', released on 28 August 2006, charted in the top five in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. ''The Weakest Link'' is a British television quiz show, mainly broadcast on BBC Two and BBC One. It was devised by Fintan Coyle and Cathy Dunning and developed for television by the BBC Entertainment Department. ''Fort Boyard'' is a French game show created by Jacques Antoine that was first broadcast on 7 July 1990 (originally as ''Les Clés de Fort Boyard'', however shortened to ''Fort Boyard'' from the second series in 1991).
