AlphaTauri AT02
The AlphaTauri AT02 is a Formula One car, Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Scuderia AlphaTauri to compete in the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship. The car was driven by Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly. The AT02 is the second car to be built and run under the AlphaTauri name. Season summary 2021 confirmed AlphaTauri's position as a respectable midfield runner unable to make the final breakthrough needed to become a top team. The team's package was quick and reliable, but not quite enough to regularly score podiums. Indeed, Gasly and Tsunoda finished just outside the points, no less than two times. The highlight of the year was Gasly's run to third at the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to score the team's fifth podium since their F1 début in 1985 (as Minardi). This capped an encouraging season for the Frenchman, who was duly kept on for another year. Tsunoda, despite a points finish in the first race of the season, lost his motivation after a sequence of bad luck and ...

Scuderia AlphaTauri
Scuderia AlphaTauri, or simply AlphaTauri, is an Italian Formula One racing team and constructor. It is one of two Formula One constructors owned by Austrian beverage company Red Bull, the other being Red Bull Racing. The constructor was rebranded for the 2020 Formula One World Championship from "Toro Rosso" to "AlphaTauri" in order to promote the AlphaTauri fashion brand. According to Franz Tost and Helmut Marko, Scuderia AlphaTauri is no longer the junior team but the sister team to Red Bull Racing. Origins In September 2019, Toro Rosso announced their intention to change their naming rights for the 2020 championship. It was announced on 1 December 2019 that the team had selected "AlphaTauri" as their new moniker to promote parent company Red Bull's fashion label of the same name by purchasing Toro Rosso's naming rights. Thus, they became ''Scuderia AlphaTauri'' and retired the ''Scuderia Toro Rosso'' moniker after fourteen years. The team's involvement in Formula One can b ...

Rear Mid-engine, Rear-wheel-drive Layout
In automotive design, an RMR, or rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout is one in which the rear wheels are driven by an engine placed with its center of gravity in front of the rear axle, and thus right behind the passenger compartment. Nowadays more frequently called 'RMR', to acknowledge that certain sporty or performance focused front-engined cars are also "mid-engined", by having the main engine mass behind the front axle, RMR layout cars were previously (until ca. the 1990) just called MR, or mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout), because the nuance between distinctly front-engined vs. front ''mid-engined'' cars often remained undiscussed. In contrast to the fully rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, the center of mass of the engine is in front of the rear axle. This layout is typically chosen for its favorable weight distribution. Placing the car's heaviest component within the wheelbase minimizes its rotational inertia around the vertical axis, facilitating tur ...

Formula One Car
A Formula One car (also known as an F1 car) is a single-seat, open-cockpit, open-wheel formula racing car with substantial front and rear wings, and an engine positioned behind the driver, intended to be used in competition at Formula One racing events. The regulations governing the cars are unique to the championship and specify that cars must be constructed by the racing teams themselves, though the design and manufacture can be outsourced. Formula One cars are the fastest cars in the world around a race track, owing to very high cornering speeds achieved through the generation of large amounts of aerodynamic downforce. As a result of the amount of braking force and the total cornering envelope of a Formula One car (by the friction component of the tyre, the mass of the machine and the downforce generated); Formula One drivers experience frequent lateral g-loadings in excess of five g, and peak cornering forces of up to seven lateral g. Chassis design Modern-day F ...
