AlpenFury
AlpenFury is a steel launched roller coaster located at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Manufactured by Premier Rides, the ride opened to the public on 12 July 2025 and was marketed as the tallest, fastest, and longest launch coaster in Canada. It features nine inversions and became the park's 18th roller coaster. It is also the first new roller coaster for Canada's Wonderland since the merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags (1961–2024), Six Flags became active under Six Flags, the latter's name in July 2024. Canada's Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland, formerly known as Paramount Canada's Wonderland, is a amusement park located in Vaughan, Ontario, a municipality within the Greater Toronto Area. Opened in 1981 by the Taft Broadcasting, Taft Broadcasting Company and the Great-West Life Assurance Company, it was the first major theme park in Canada and remains the country's largest. Cedar Fair (merged with Six Flags since 1 July 2024) purchased the park from Paramount Parks in 2006, and they have owned and operated the park since then. Fast Lane (Six Flags)
Fast Lane is an optional, pay-per-person line queue system offered on select rides at legacy Cedar Fair amusement parks, now Six Flags amusement parks. The system provides shorter lines, and guests who want access must pay a fee in addition to general park admission. They are given a wristband for identification, and an unspecified, limited number are sold each day to control wait times. First piloted in 2011 at Kings Island, the system was rolled out to the rest of the Cedar Fair chain in 2012. An upgrade called Fast Lane Plus featuring additional rides is available at some parks. On a roller coaster, the wheel assemblies are the point of contact between the cars carrying the riders and the track rails. They often consist of at least 3 wheels per assembly, but can contain more. Tread plate, also known as checker plate and diamond plate, is a type of metal stock with a regular pattern or lines on one side for slip resistance. Diamond plate is usually steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Steel types are normally made by hot rolling, although modern manufacturers also make a raised and pressed diamond design.
