Alor Gajah (federal Constituency)
Alor Gajah is a federal constituency in Alor Gajah District and Jasin District, Malacca, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1974. The federal constituency was created in the 1974 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system. Adly bin Zahari ( Jawi: عدلي بن ظهري; born 15 February 1971) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Defence in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Mohamad Hasan since December 2022, Member of Parliament (MP) for Alor Gajah since November 2022 and Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Katil since May 2018. Mohd Adib bin Mohamad Adam (3 July 1941 – 21 September 2022) was a Malaysian politician who served as the 5th Chief Minister of Malacca from July 1978 to April 1982, Minister of Lands and Regional Development from 1984 to 1986 and Minister of Information from 1982 to 1984. Fong Chan Onn (, born 29 February 1944) is a Malaysian politician and a former Minister of Human Resources. He is a former vice-president of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a component party of the then-ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Abu Seman Yusop
Abu Seman bin Yusop (born 10 January 1944) was the Member of Parliament of Malaysia for the Masjid Tanah constituency in the state of Melaka from 2004 to 2013. A member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the then-governing Barisan Nasional coalition, he served in the deputy ministry of successive governments during that period. Before entering politics, Abu Seman was a lawyer with his own firm. He is a former police inspector and prosecutor.
