Along Comes Mary
"Along Comes Mary" is a song composed by Tandyn Almer, originally recorded by American sunshine pop band the Association. It was the group's first hit, released in March 1966 as the lead single prior to their debut album, '' And Then... Along Comes the Association'', which appeared in July. Background "Along Comes Mary" is sung from the point of view of a once-disillusioned young man talking about the "tribulations no one ever sees" and who "curse those faults in me." The singer believes Mary gives him comfort and improves his life. Both Leonard Bernstein and Tandyn Almer stated that Mary was a reference to marijuana; this association was also prevalent among many of the song's listeners. The Association
The Association is an American sunshine pop band from Los Angeles, California. In music theory, the term mode or ''modus'' is used in a number of distinct senses, depending on context. Its most common use may be described as a type of musical scale coupled with a set of characteristic melodic and harmonic behaviors. It is applied to major and minor keys as well as the seven diatonic modes (including the former as Ionian and Aeolian) which are defined by their starting note or tonic. Why's Everybody Always Pickin' On Me?
"Why's Everybody Always Pickin' on Me?" is the third single off the Bloodhound Gang's second album ''One Fierce Beer Coaster''. The song samples " Spooky" by Classics IV and " Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode. It also samples "Stormy" by Gabor Szabo. The title is borrowed from the classic 1959 song "Charlie Brown" performed by The Coasters, in which a school troublemaker complains about being picked upon when his schemes backfire. Music video The music video starts out with Jimmy Pop in a psychiatrist's office. The doctor (whose name is Scott P. Nussenvy, a tongue-in-cheek reference to penis envy) proceeds to take Jimmy over to the couch and hypnotize him, in which Jimmy goes back over his horrible experience in high school and we see why he is the paranoid katagelophobic he is today. Hard rock or heavy rock is a heavier subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and Distortion (music), distorted electric guitars. "Fire Water Burn" is a song by American rock band Bloodhound Gang, released as the first single from their second album, ''One Fierce Beer Coaster'' (1996). ''Hooray for Boobies'' is the third studio album by American rock band Bloodhound Gang. It was released on October 4, 1999, in the United Kingdom and on February 29, 2000, in the United States.
