''Almost Paradise'' is a Filipino-American crime drama television series created by Dean Devlin and Gary Rosen. Starring Christian Kane, Samantha Richelle, Arthur Acuña, Nonie Buencamino, Ces Quesada, and Sophia Reola, the series follows a former Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA agent-turned Americans in the Philippines, American expat in Cebu, Philippines, as he balances his work running a gift shop at a resort hotel in Mactan with assisting the local police department in investigating crimes. The series premiered March 30, 2020 on WGN America; it was the first American television series to be filmed entirely in the Philippines, with ABS-CBN Studios serving as a co-production partner on the first season. The series was later acquired by Amazon Freevee, who subsequently ordered a second season in February 2022; all ten episodes were released on July 21, 2023. The seventh and final season of ''Cold Case'', an American television series, began airing on CBS on September 27, 2009 and concluded on May 2, 2010. Season seven regular cast members include Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford, and Tracie Thoms Tracie Thoms is an American actress and singer. "Almost Paradise... Love Theme from Footloose" is the title of a duet sung by Mike Reno of Loverboy and Ann Wilson of Heart. It is one of several major hits written by singer Eric Carmen with lyricist Dean Pitchford, another being " Make Me Lose Control". Because both of their respective bands were successful during the 1980s, Reno and Wilson were approached to record a duet for the film ''Footloose'' and its accompanying soundtrack. Background "Almost Paradise" was one of three top 10 hits on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart found on the ''Footloose'' soundtrack album; it peaked at No. 7 and spent 13 weeks in the top 40. An alternate version of the song with a slightly different musical arrangement, which has never been released, is used in the film. Other hits from this soundtrack include the film's title track by Kenny Loggins and "Let's Hear It for the Boy" by Deniece Williams, both of which went to No. 1 on the pop chart.
