Almassora (; es, Almazora) is a town and municipality in the ''comarca'' of Plana Alta, Valencian Community, Spain. Ermita De Santa Quiteria (Almazora)
The Santa Quiteria Chapel located in the municipality of Almassora, (Castellón Province, Spain) appears to have been documented since the first half of the seventeenth century. History There are some indications that this area was populated long before this date: a 1330 contract speaks about a church next to the Mijares; there was news of religious processions to neighbouring towns; in 1394, the inhabitants of Vila-real, mentioned, among other places, a town named Almassora, which is most likely Santa Quiteria; a payment was made in 1495 to a hermit, to add a cell to the river's bridge, and a fifteenth-century coin was later found between the corners when work was being done on the roof. Millars River
The Mijares or Millars ( es, Mijares, ca, Millars, an, Millars) is a river in Aragon and the Valencian Community, eastern Spain. It flows into the Mediterranean Sea between Almassora and Burriana. The Mijares River marks the southernmost limit of the Catalan Mediterranean System. This river originates at a height of 1,600 m in the Sierra de Gúdar, Sistema Ibérico. The '' comarques'' of the Valencian Community, form an intermediate level of administrative subdivision between municipalities and provinces. They are used as a basis for the provision of local services by the Generalitat Valenciana, but do not have any representative or executive bodies of their own.
