Ally Morphett
Ally Morphett (born 11 November 2003) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Sydney Swans in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in 2022 season 6. A very tall player at 188cm, Morphett is a ruck noted for her physicality at the contest, long kick and strong marking ability. Early life Morphett grew up on a farm at Gumly Gumly, a small town on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga in the New South Wales Riverina. She participated in the sport of Barrel racing as a teenager including winning a junior national title. After taking up Australian rules at the age of 15 at Wagga High School, she played locally for East Wagga-Kooringal before joining the Murray Bushrangers - U18 NAB League and later U18 Giants Academy. At the age of 17, Ally was also selected in the U18 NAB National Academy, further developing the young footballer. Belconnen Football Club
The Belconnen Magpies Football Club is an Australian rules football club which competes in the AFL Canberra. They previously played in the now defunct North East Australian Football League competition. History Originally known as the Turner Football Club, the club became known as Belconnen in 1970 and was admitted to the Canberra Australian National Football League in 1971. Wearing a navy blue guernsey with a white monogram, the club was known as the "Bees" from 1971 until 1979, then as the "Blues" following the ANU Blues' withdrawal from the league during 1979. Before the 1986 season, the Belconnen club merged with the West Canberra Football Club to become the "Belconnen Magpies". The Greater Western Sydney Giants (officially the Greater Western Sydney Football Club and colloquially known as the GWS Giants or simply GWS or Giants) are a professional Australian rules football club based in Sydney Olympic Park which represents the Greater Western Sydney region of New South Wales.
