Wollongong ( ; Dharawal: ''Woolyungah'') is a city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. The Top End of Australia's Northern Territory is a geographical region encompassing the northernmost section of the Northern Territory, which aside from the Cape York Peninsula is the northernmost part of the Australian continent. ''Parental Guidance'' is an Australian parenting reality series hosted by Ally Langdon and parenting expert Dr Justin Coulson, which premiered on the Nine Network on 1 November 2021. Format The series features several different families each having different parenting styles. In each episode, the participants compete in several parenting challenges to determine which is the best parenting style. In the first season of the series, there are ten families who have different styles. In the second season, there are 12 parents, which go through the parenting challenges in groups of 4. Black Saturday Bushfires
The Black Saturday bushfires were a series of bushfires that either ignited or were already burning across the Australian state of Victoria. Saturday, 7 February 2009 was one of Australia's all-time worst bushfire disasters. The fires occurred during extreme bushfire weather conditions and resulted in Australia's highest-ever loss of human life from a bushfire, with 173 fatalities. Many people were left homeless and family-less as a result. As many as 400 individual fires were recorded on Saturday 7 February; the day has become widely referred to in Australia as Black Saturday. Marysville is a town in the Shire of Murrindindi in Victoria, Australia, Victoria, Australia, about 34 kilometres north-east of Healesville, Victoria, Healesville and 41 kilometres south of Alexandra, Victoria, Alexandra. Keli Lane
Keli Lane (born 21 March 1975), an Australian former water polo player and teacher, was convicted of the 1996 murder of her newborn baby, Tegan, and of three counts of making a false declaration. Her final application for appeal was rejected by the High Court of Australia in August 2014. Lane was originally serving an 18-year prison sentence and was to be eligible for parole on 12 May 2024, after serving a period of 13 years and five months in custody. 2004 Jakarta Embassy Bombing
A one-tonne car bomb, which was packed into a small Daihatsu delivery van, exploded outside the Australian embassy at Kuningan District, South Jakarta, at about 10:30 local time (03:30 UTC) on 9 September 2004, killing 9 people including the suicide bomber, and wounding over 150 others. The explosion gutted the Greek embassy on the 12th floor of an adjacent building, where three diplomats were slightly wounded. Damage to the nearby Chinese embassy was also reported. Numerous office buildings surrounding the embassy were also damaged by the blast, which shattered windows in buildings away, injuring many workers inside, mostly by broken glass. A dispute ensued as to how many civilians were killed by the explosion: local health authorities in Jakarta reported 9 deaths, compared to 11 deaths reported by Australian officials.
