Allobates Granti
''Allobates granti'', the black-flanked poison frog, is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. It is endemic to French Guiana and Suriname and suspected in Brazil. Home This diurnal, forest-dwelling frog has been observed between 100 and 730 meters above sea level. It does not seem to need to remain near water. This frog has been observed in one protected park: Parc Amazonien de Guyane. Young Male frogs can be territorial. They perch on the leaf litter to call to the female frogs. Aromobatidae
The Aromobatidae are a family of frogs native to Central and South America. They are sometimes referred to as cryptic forest frogs or cryptic poison frogs. They are the sister taxon of the Dendrobatidae, the poison dart frogs, but are not as toxic as most dendrobatids are. Taxonomy The Aromobatidae were separated from the Dendrobatidae only in 2006, and some sources continue to treat these frogs as part of the Dendrobatidae. However, their position as the sister taxa is well supported, and the question is primarily about whether they should be ranked as a family or a subfamily. The validity of subfamilies within the Aromobatidae is also unsettled. Guiana Amazonian Park () is the largest List of national parks of France, national park of France, aiming at protecting part of the Amazonian forest located in French Guiana which covers 41% of the region of France, region.
