Allie Wilson
Allie Wilson (born March 31, 1996) is an American middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 metres. She was the 2024 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships winner in the 800 m. Her first major breakthrough came in 2018 during her third year at Monmouth University, advancing from 2:11 to a 2:04 best in the 800 m and qualifying for her first NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, NCAA Championships. After a best finish of 5th at 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the 2019 NCAA finals, Wilson signed as a professional with the Atlanta Track Club coached by Amy Yoder Begley and her husband Andrew. She went on to finish sixth at 2020 United States Olympic trials (track and field), the Olympic Trials and fourth at 2022 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the 2022 U.S. championships, just one spot away from making a U.S. global championship team. The NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships are the annual collegiate track and field competitions for women athletes representing Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). 2022 NACAC Championships
The 2022 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships were a regional track and field competition held at Grand Bahama Sports Complex in Freeport, Bahamas, from August 19–21, 2022. It was the fourth edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region, held four years after the 2018 NACAC Championships. Monmouth Hawks Track And Field
The Monmouth Hawks refer to the 23 sports teams representing Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The Hawks compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Colonial Athletic Association, joining on July 1, 2022. The football team became an FCS Independent for the 2013 season, and moved to the Big South Conference on July 1, 2014. The women's bowling program was a charter member of the Southland Bowling League, a single-sport conference formed in January 2015, but moved that sport to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference after the 2017–18 season. On January 25, 2022, Monmouth announced it would be leaving the MAAC to join the Colonial Athletic Association, effective July 1, 2022.
