Allie Munroe
Allie Munroe (born April 20, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) and Connecticut Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She played college ice hockey at Syracuse. Playing career College Munroe played college ice hockey at Syracuse. During the 2015–16 season in her freshman year, she recorded four goals and six assists in 36 games. During the 2016–17 season in her sophomore year, she recorded seven goals and 14 assists in 34 games. Following the season she was named the CHA Best Defenseman and named to the All-CHA First Team. Captain (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". 2023–24 PWHL Season
The 2023–24 PWHL season was the first season of operation of the Professional Women's Hockey League, and began play on January 1, 2024. Six teams competed during the inaugural season, located in PWHL Montreal, Montreal, PWHL Toronto, Toronto, PWHL New York, New York/Bridgeport, PWHL Boston, Boston, PWHL Ottawa, Ottawa, and PWHL Minnesota, Saint Paul. The season culminated in a two-round best-of-five playoff including the top four teams to determine the season champion. PWHL Toronto topped the regular season standings with 17 wins and 47 points. The 2019-20 SDHL Season was the 13th season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). The season began in September 2019 and ended in February 2020.
