Allen Icet
Allen Icet (born March 31, 1957) is a Republican politician. He served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010 and as Chairman of the House Budget Committee from 2005 to 2010. Icet was appointed Greene County Collector on March 1, 2021, and elected to a four-year term beginning January 1, 2023. Early life and education Icet was born March 31, 1957, in Houston, Texas. In 1980, Icet received a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in Civil Engineering. He also received a Master of Business Administration from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Career Icet is a past president (1995–96) and director (1994–96) of the Rockwood Board of Education for Saint Louis County's largest public school system. Bekki Cook
Rebecca McDowell "Bekki" Cook (July 18, 1950) is an American politician from Missouri, United States. She served as the 36th Missouri Secretary of State from December 1994 to January 2001. Cook was raised in Jackson, Missouri, and attended public schools. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 1972 with a degree in political science. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri in 1975 and practiced law in Cape Girardeau. While working in private law practice, Cook was appointed to the Missouri State Board of Education by Governor John Ashcroft. She was subsequently re-appointed by Governor Mel Carnahan. In December 1994, Carnahan appointed Cook as Missouri's Secretary of State. Cook succeeded Judi Moriarty who had been impeached and removed from office following a scandal. The Missouri Senate is the upper chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 34 members, representing districts with an average population of 181,000. Its members serve four-year terms, with half the seats being up for election every two years. The Senate chooses a President Pro Tempore to serve in the absence of the lieutenant governor or when he shall have to exercise the office of Governor of the State of Missouri, governor of Missouri if there is a vacancy in that office due to death, resignation, impeachment, or incapacitation. Tom Schweich
Thomas A. Schweich (October 2, 1960 – February 26, 2015) was an American politician, diplomat, attorney, and author. A member of the Republican Party, Schweich served as State Auditor of Missouri from 2011 until his death in 2015. Prior to being elected State Auditor, he served as the U.S. Coordinator for Counternarcotics and Justice Reform in Afghanistan. While in that position, he was given the rank of Ambassador by U.S. President George W. Bush. In the 2010 election, Schweich was elected State Auditor, defeating Democratic incumbent Susan Montee. He was reelected in 2014 without opposition. In 2015, Schweich announced he would run for Governor of Missouri in the 2016 election. On February 26, 2015, he committed suicide with a firearm.
