Allan Svensson
Dan Allan Waldemar Svensson (born 16 February 1951) is a Swedish actor perhaps mostly known for his role as Gustav Svensson in the hit comedy series ''Svensson, Svensson''. Besides acting in films, television and on stage, Svensson owns and runs the film production company Ridåfall AB. Biography Svensson was born in Stockholm but grew up in Tranemo, Sweden. At the age of seventeen he moved to Värnamo and started high school studies. At the end of the 1970s, Svensson enrolled for acting studies at Skara Skolscen and then at Teaterhögskolan in Gothenburg. His first television role was as Erik in ''Hedebyborna''. He has worked as part of the Stockholm stadsteater ensemble, acted in films and on television and also directed. The theatre and television roles have varied, from playing Cyrano at Oscarsteatern to playing the everyday stereotypical Swede Gustav Svensson in the SVT comedy show ''Svensson, Svensson'' and the role of RF Simpson in the Swedish version of the musical ''Si ...

Bert (TV Series)
''Bert'' is a Swedish television series with 12 episodes, based on the ''Bert Diaries'' by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson, and originally airing over SVT each Saturday evening during the period of 1 October-17 December 1994. It was directed by Tomas Alfredson and Svante Kettner. The theme song was performed by Lill-Babs, and called " Älskade ängel". Another song regaining revival with the TV series was Sven-Olof Sandberg's 1938 success " Är det så här när man är kär". The plot is based on the Bert Diaries, but just like in the comics, the story opens in the 6th grade, not the 5th like in the books. ''The Emperor of Portugallia'' (Swedish: ''Kejsarn av Portugallien'') is a novel by Nobel-laureate Selma Lagerlöf, published in 1914 with drawings by Albert Engström. Lagerlöf called it a "Swedish King Lear". The novel was a success with critics and readers, newspaper reviewers said the novel was at the same level as Lagerlöf's earlier novels '' Gösta Berling's Saga'' and the first part of ''Jerusalem''. It has been filmed three times: 1925, 1944 and 1992. An English translation by Velma Swanston Howard was published in 1916. Plot The novel takes place in 1860 or 1870 in Lagerlöf's native Värmland and is about the tenant farmer Jan in Skrolycka and his daughter Glory Goldie Sunnycastle. It was screened at the 1987 Festival of Festivals as well as the "International Forum for New Cinema" of the Berlin Film Festival in 1987, but has rarely been seen since.
