Sweden was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1967 with the song "", written by Marcus Österdahl, Curt Peterson, and Patrice Hellberg, and performed by Östen Warnerbring. The Swedish participating broadcaster, (SR), selected its entry through a national final. The national final was named "" for the first time, the name still in use to the present day. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1967 Melodifestivalen 1967 was the selection for the ninth song to represent at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the eighth time that (SR) used this system of picking a song. Approximately 1,800 songs were submitted to SR for the competition. The final was held in the in Stockholm on 24 February 1967, hosted by Maud Husberg and broadcast on Sveriges Radio TV but it was not broadcast on radio. Inger Berggren
Inger Berggren (23 February 1934 – 19 July 2019) was a Swedish singer. Her biggest hits were "Sol och vår" and "Elisabeth serenad", both in 1962. Berggren was born in Stockholm. She began her vocal career with Thore Swanerud's orchestra, and later sang with Thore Ehrling, Simon Brehm, and Göte Wilhelmsson. Berggren represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1962 in Luxembourg with the song "Sol och vår" which was placed seventh. She was the mother of the actress Gunilla Röör. She died on 19 July 2019 at the age of 85. Svante Thuresson
Svante Thuresson (7 February 1937 – 10 May 2021) was a Swedish jazz musician. He started his career as a drummer before joining the band Gals and Pals in 1963. Svante won the national selection and represented Sweden in the Eurovision song contest in 1966 with ''Nygammal vals'' ("New, Old-Fashioned Waltz") and came in second place; he performed with Lill Lindfors. In 2007, Thuresson and Anne-Lie Rydé performed at Melodifestivalen 2007 as a duo in hopes of represent Sweden in the Eurovision, but failed to make it to the final. He died from a long-term illness on 10 May 2021, at the age of 84. Ann-Louise Hanson
Ann-Louise Hanson (born in Kristianstad in 1944) is a Swedish singer who has been involved in the music industry since 1956. In 1960, she had her first hit, "Är du ensam i kväll?", a Swedish version of Elvis Presley's "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" Many of her solo recordings from the 1960s feature Bruno Glenmarks Orkester and, following their marriage, Ann-Louise and Bruno Glenmark formed the group Glenmarks with Bruno's niece Karin and nephew Anders. Soon after, their own GlenDisc record label began producing vinyl, cassettes and eventually CDs under the banner of 'Hanson-Glenmark Production AB'. Ann-Louise holds the dubious honour of having entered the Swedish Melodifestivalen competition thirteen times without winning once, which is a record in itself. Tage Ivar Roland Danielsson (; 5 February 1928 – 13 October 1985) was a Swedes, Swedish author, actor, comedian, poet and film director. He worked together with Hans Alfredson in the comedy duo Hasse & Tage. Hans Folke "Hasse" Alfredson (28 June 1931 – 10 September 2017) was a Swedish actor, film director, writer, and comedian. Born in Malmö, Sweden, he is known for his collaboration with Tage Danielsson as the duo Hasse & Tage and their production company AB Svenska Ord ("Swedish Words Ltd"). Karl-Erik Albert Norman (4October 192012August 2005), known as Charles Norman or Charlie Norman, was a Swedish musician and entertainer. SVT1 (SVT Ett; commonly referred to as Ettan) is the primary television station of the Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Television in Sweden.
