Alla Yefremovna Gerber (russian: А́лла Ефре́мовна Ге́рбер, born 3 January 1932 in Moscow) is a Russian politician, journalist and film critic. Life In 1955, Alla Gerber graduated from the faculty of law of the Moscow State University. In the following years she worked as a lawyer and a journalist. First, she worked for ''Moskovskij Komsomolets'' and was a correspondent of the newspapers '':ru:Юность (журнал), Junost'' (ru), ''Izvestia'', ''Literaturnaya Gazeta'' and ''Moskovskaya Pravda''. Since 1963 she has written over 1000 articles and 8 books. She is also a member of the Russian Union of Journalists and former member of the USSR Union of Writers. RIA Novosti (russian: РИА Новости), sometimes referred to as RIAN () or RIA (russian: РИА, label=none) is a Russian State media, state-owned domestic news agency. On 9 December 2013 by a decree of Vladimir Putin it was liquidated and its assets and workforce were transferred to the newly created Rossiya Segodnya agency. On 8 April 2014 RIA Novosti was registered as part of the new agency. RIA Novosti is headquartered in Moscow. The chief editor is Anna Gavrilova. Russian Research And Educational Holocaust Center
The Russian Research and Educational Holocaust Center was founded in 1992 in Moscow and has since then been working on awareness raising of the Holocaust in the Russian society. It is the only non-governmental organization in the Russian Federation, devoted to the study of the life of Soviet Jews during the Great Patriotic War. Responsibilities and activities The main tasks of the Center comprise historical research, conducting memorial services, the incorporation of the Holocaust topic into the curricula of secondary schools and universities, promoting the formation of opinions as well as interviews with contemporary witnesses. The Center, furthermore, organizes regular exhibitions. The Holocaust Center addressed itself to inform the Russian public about the genocide of Jews.
