Alla Ablaberdyeva
Alla Ablaberdyeva (; born 7 May 1953) is a Russian classical music, classical soprano who specializes in chamber music. Biography Ablaberdyeva studied at the Moscow Conservatoire under Nina Dorliak. After completing her studies she won several international singing competitions including the All-Union Mikhail Glinka Competition of Musicians in Moscow. Throughout the 1980s she sang regularly as a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Society and appeared regularly in chamber music concerts in Moscow and Leningrad. She also toured the USSR, Czech Republic, Hungary, Cuba, Sweden, and France during this time. She relocated to London in 1991 and her career has since been centered there. A singing teacher, among her students is the singer/songwriter Mika (singer), Mika. Les Noces
''The Wedding'', or ''Svadebka (''), is a Russian-language ballet-cantata by Igor Stravinsky scored unusually for four vocal soloists, chorus, percussion and four pianos. Dedicating the work to impresario Sergei Diaghilev, the composer described it in French as "choreographed Russian scenes with singing and music" ic and it remains known by its French name of ''Les noces'' despite being Russian. ''The Wedding'' was completed in 1917 but was then subjected to a series of changes of heart by Stravinsky regarding its scoring; he settled on the above forces only in 1923, in time for the premiere in Paris on 13 June that year under conductor Ernest Ansermet and danced by the Ballets Russes to choreography by Bronislava Nijinska. Melodiya () is a Russian record label. It was the state-owned major record company of the Soviet Union. History Melodiya was established in 1964 as the "All-Union Gramophone Record Firm of the USSR Ministry of Culture Melodiya" in accordance with a resolution issued by the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union. It utilized numerous recording studios and manufacturing facilities throughout the USSR as well as powerful centres of distribution and promotional strategies. The best selling format at the time was 33⅓ and 78 rpm vinyl records. George Frideric Handel
George Frideric (or Frederick) Handel ( ; baptised , ; 23 February 1685 – 14 April 1759) was a German-British Baroque composer well-known for his operas, oratorios, anthems, concerti grossi, and organ concerti. Moscow Philharmonic Society
The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra based in Moscow, Russia. It was founded in 1951 by Samuil Samosud, as the Moscow Youth Orchestra for young and inexperienced musicians, acquiring its current name in 1953. It is most associated with longtime conductor Kiril Kondrashin under whom it premiered Shostakovich's Fourth and Thirteenth symphonies as well as other works.
