All Our Yesterdays (Star Trek)
"All Our Yesterdays" is the twenty-third and penultimate episode of the third season of the American science fiction television series ''Star Trek''. Written by Jean Lisette Aroeste and directed by Marvin J. Chomsky, it was first broadcast March 14, 1969. In the episode, Captain Kirk, Spock and Dr. McCoy are trapped in two timeframes of another planet's past. It guest-stars Mariette Hartley as Zarabeth and Ian Wolfe as Mr. Atoz. Plot The Federation starship ''Enterprise'' arrives at Sarpeidon, whose star will soon go nova. Kirk, Dr. McCoy and Spock beam down, encountering one resident, a librarian named Mr. Atoz. Aware of the imminent destruction, Atoz tells the landing party that he will soon rejoin his family. Atoz shows them the Atavachron, a time portal. Hearing a woman scream, Kirk runs through the portal, followed by McCoy and Spock. The Original Series
''Star Trek'' is an American science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry that follows the adventures of the starship and its crew. Vulcans, sometimes referred to as Vulcanians, are a fictional extraterrestrial humanoid species in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. A nova ( novae or novas) is a transient astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a bright, apparently "new" star (hence the name "nova", Latin for "new") that slowly fades over weeks or months. All observed novae involve white dwarfs in close binary systems, but causes of the dramatic appearance of a nova vary, depending on the circumstances of the two progenitor stars. A starship, starcraft, or interstellar spacecraft is a theoretical spacecraft designed for interstellar travel, traveling between planetary systems. The term is mostly found in science fiction.
