All Night Long (Simon Mathew Song)
Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "All Night Long", written by Jacob Launbjerg, Svend Gudiksen, and Nis Bøgvad, and performed by Simon Mathew. The Danish participating broadcaster, (DR), organised the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. The national selection consisted of two televised semi-finals, a radio wildcard selection and a televised final. In the final, the winner was selected by regional televoting. "All Night Long" performed by Simon Mathew was the winner after gaining the most votes. Denmark was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 22 May 2008. DR (broadcaster)
DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. Forum Horsens Arena
Forum Horsens Stadium, known as Nordstern Arena Horsens for sponsorship reasons, is a stadium in Horsens, Denmark. Used primarily for football, it is the home ground of AC Horsens and has a capacity of 10,400, of which 7,500 is seated. The stadium is also used for speedway and as a concert venue. The Loft is a Danish music and sampling group formed in 1997. The members are Jakob Weise Hellum and Martin Bøge Pedersen. In Denmark they had a major hit with "City of Dreams" in 2004. The Dreams was a punk rock band from Tórshavn, Faroe Islands formed in 2006. They were based in Denmark along with their producer Lars Pedersen. They also have had success in the Faroe Islands, and all across Europe.
