All-Star Thanksgiving
, commonly referred to as ''All-Star Thanksgiving'', is a Japanese television panel game and Television special, special program which has aired twice a year in April and October on TBS Television (Japan), TBS since October 1991. In this article, the prototype is also explained. Format The program features a large cast of celebrities such as actors, comedians and other ''tarento'' of around 160 to 200 people. The panel answers multiple quizzes every round until one person is deemed the winner either by elimination of those that answered incorrectly or by fastest response if there are multiple winners by the end of the round. During the program, numerous events and activities such as a mini-marathon are played by different contestants. It is a live broadcast which lasts about 5½ hours. Shinsuke Shimada
is a Japanese comedian and television presenter. He first became popular as part of a manzai duo formed with his on-stage partner Matsumoto Ryusuke. The duo was active between 1976 and 1985. In 1991 he directed the film ''Kaze, Slow Down''. Shimada played an important role for keeping the popularity for contemporary manzai alive - for many years he was the driving force behind the popular manzai competition M-1 Grand Prix. On August 23, 2011, Shinsuke Shimada announced his retirement after admitting to extensive ties to the yakuza, Japan's organized crime. is a Japanese comedy (manzai) duo ''( kombi)'' from Osaka consisting of as boke and as tsukkomi under the entertainment agency, Yoshimoto Kogyo. Formed in 1996, they are best known for their stand-up acts and TV tarento activities in variety and quiz shows. Ujihara is known as one of the most competitive quiz show contestants. Having attended highly ranked public universities, the two are broadly recognized as "highly educated comedians".
