Alki Oroklini was a Cyprus, Cypriot professional association football, football club based in Oroklini. The team was founded as ''Omonia Oroklinis'' in 1979. Omonia had one participation in the Cypriot Fourth Division, Fourth Division. In 2014 the team changed their name to Alki Oroklini, when business man Andy Loppas, who became the president of the team, renamed it to Alki as his favorite team was Alki Larnaca FC which was dissolved that year, due to financial problems. Alki managed the outstanding 3 promotions in 3 years from the fourth division to Cypriot first division, the highest tier in Cyprus. Ammochostos Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Larnaca, Cyprus. It is currently used mostly for Association football, football matches and is the temporary home ground of the refugee team from the occupied city of Famagusta, Nea Salamis Famagusta FC, Nea Salamis Famagusta. History The original home ground of Nea Salamis Famagusta FC, Nea Salamina FC was GSE Stadium in Famagusta, but due to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, Turkish occupation of the town since 1974 they cannot use it. After that, Nea Salamis Famagusta FC, Nea Salamis FC moved, temporarily, to Larnaca and built their own stadium. The decision to build the stadium came in 1989. The December of the same year it started to be built. 2017–18 Cypriot Cup
The 2017–18 Cypriot Cup was the 76th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 22 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It began on 29 November 2019 with the first round and concluded on 16 May 2018 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEK Larnaca for second time and qualified for the 2018–19 Europa League second qualifying round. The 2017–18 Cypriot First Division was the 79th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. The season began on 19 August 2017 and is ended on 13 May 2018. Teams Promotion and relegation (pre-season) Anagennisi Deryneia and AEZ Zakakiou were relegated at the end of the first-phase of the 2016–17 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. 2014–15 Cypriot Cup For Lower Divisions
The 2014–15 Cypriot Cup for lower divisions was the 7th edition of the Cypriot Cup for lower divisions. A total of 12 clubs entered the competition. It began on 5 November 2014 with the first round and concluded on 8 April 2015 with the final which was held at Geroskipou Municipality Stadium. Akritas Chlorakas won their 1st cup trophy after beating PAEEK FC 1–0 in the final. Format Only teams from the Cypriot Third Division and Cypriot Fourth Division could participate. Participation was not compulsory. 12 of 28 participated that season. The competition consisted of four rounds. The 2015–16 Cypriot Third Division was the 45th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. Akritas Chlorakas won their 3rd title. Format Sixteen teams participated in the 2015–16 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to the 2016–17 Cypriot Second Division and the last three teams were relegated to the 2016–17 STOK Elite Division. However, after the end of the season Nikos & Sokratis Erimis withdrew from the 2016–17 Cypriot Third Division, and so the 14th-placed team remained to Third Division. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division.
