Aliyyah Koloc
Aliyyah Koloc (born 1 July 2004) is a List of female racing drivers, racing driver. Biography Koloc's father Martin is Czech and a former truck racer as well as the owner of the Buggyra Racing Team. Her mother is Seychelloise-Sudanese and her twin sister Yasmeen is also a racing driver. Koloc has Asperger syndrome. Born in Dubai, Koloc began her sporting career in tennis at the age of four before an injury prevented her from furthering her career. After taking part in a test in one of her fathers' racing trucks in early 2019, she switched to motorsport with the goal of competing in the Dakar Rally. Starting out in trucks, her program quickly grew to accommodate Stock car racing, stock cars, Group GT4, GT4 and rally raid in order to improve her versatility, leading to a title in the FIA Middle East Cup for Cross-Country Bajas in 2022 ahead of her Dakar debut. Rally raid, also known as cross-country rallying, is a form of long distance off-road racing that takes place over several days. The length of the event can be as short as 2–3 days for a cross-country baja to as long as 15 days with marathon rallies like the Dakar Rally; with other cross-country rally events lasting 4–5 days. With skill in navigation being key, the driving skill and endurance of riders, drivers, co-drivers, and machines are put to the test. The total distance covered can be anywhere between 600 km to over 5,000 km with terrain ranging from sandy dunes, forest roads, mountain roads, and dry river beds; among others. 2024 Dakar Rally
The 2024 Dakar Rally is a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia. It is the 46th edition of the Dakar Rally, organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), and the 5th time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. The event takes place between 5 and 19 January 2024. For the third year running, the event is also the first round of the 2024 World Rally-Raid Championship. The outline of the race route was presented on 3 June 2023. This year the route will start at Al-'Ula, cross the Empty Quarter, and will finish in Yanbu. Race format consists of a prologue and 12 stages, including a 48-hour marathon stage - dubbed as a '48h chrono stage', which would cover over 600km with a midnight halt. The 2023 Dakar Rally is a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia and the 45th edition of the Dakar Rally organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). The event takes place between 31 December 2022 and 15 January 2023. This is the fourth time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. For the second year running, the event is also the first round of the 2023 World Rally-Raid Championship. The outline of the race route was presented on 5 June 2022. The route was started at a "Sea Camp" near Yanbu, on the Red Sea shore, and will finish in Dammam, at a Persian Gulf shore.
