Gaya Emirate
Gaya Emirate is a second-class emirate in Kano State, Nigeria. It was first established by the Kano State Government in 2019, and restructured in 2024 following a brief dissolution. It is located in the Gaya Local Government Area of the state. The Gaya Emirate is headed by a traditional ruler known as the ''Sarkin Gaya'', who is appointed by the Kano State Government. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (born 25 December 1949) is a Nigerian politician who served as the governor of Kano State from 2015 to 2023. He previously served as Rabiu Kwankwaso's deputy governor twice, from 1999 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2015. He is a member and national chairman of the ruling Party All Progressives Congress (APC). Background Ganduje was born in 1949 to a Fulani family in the village of Ganduje, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State. Gaya, Nigeria
Gaya is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Gaya in the north of the area. It has an area of 613 km and a population of 201,016 in the 2006 census.
