Aliya LeeKong
Aliya LeeKong is an American chef, television personality and author of the cookbook ''Exotic Table - Flavors, Inspiration, and Recipes from Around the World – to Your Kitchen''. Early life Aliya LeeKong was born in New York City and raised in Central Florida. A first generation American, her parents are Indo-Pakistani and Tanzanian immigrants. After graduating from Brown University and Columbia Business School, LeeKong went on to work in New York City, before finding her way to cooking. Career LeeKong trained at the International Culinary Center and has traveled to over 30 countries in the past 10 years to study under international home cooks. A celebrity chef is a kitchen chef who has become a celebrity. Today, chefs often become celebrities by presenting cookery advice and demonstrations, usually through the media of television and radio, or in printed publications. While television is ultimately the primary way for a chef to become a celebrity, some have achieved this through success in the kitchen, cook book publications, and achieving awards such as Michelin stars, while others are home cooks who won competitions. Per Se (restaurant)
Per Se is a New American and French restaurant located at The Shops at Columbus Circle, on the fourth floor of the Deutsche Bank Center at 10 Columbus Circle in Manhattan, New York City, owned by chef Thomas Keller. The Chef de Cuisine is Chad Palagi. Per Se has maintained three Michelin stars since the introduction of the New York City Guide in 2006. Development Thomas Keller opened Per Se in February 2004.
