Alison Lee (badminton)
Alison Lee (born February 26, 1995) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and is a college student at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was ranked number 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 16 weeks in 2013–14. Early life Lee was born in Los Angeles to Korean immigrant parents. She started golfing at a young age. Lee's father Johnny Lee was her first instructor. Amateur career Lee was an AJGA First-Team All-American for six years, from 2008 through 2013, with nine wins on the AJGA circuit. She was a member of the victorious USA Junior Solheim Cup team in 2009, 2011, and 2013 helping to lead the US to three straight victories and was a member of the Junior Ryder Cup team in 2010 and 2012 and the Curtis Cup team in 2014. The 2015 Solheim Cup was the 14th edition of the Solheim Cup matches, held 18–20 September at the St. Leon course of Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, St. Leon-Rot, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Carlota Ciganda Machiñena (born 1 June 1990) is a professional golfer from Spain who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She won the LET's Order of Merit (money title) in her debut season in 2012, and was also named Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Early life and college career Born in Pamplona, Spain, Ciganda started to play golf aged five, influenced by her father. Her uncle is the former football player and coach José Ángel Ziganda. The Aramco Team Series is a professional women's golf competition that is part of the Ladies European Tour (LET), first played in 2020. The inaugural tournament was played as the Saudi Ladies Team International at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) by the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.
