Alisa Buchinger
Alisa Theresa Buchinger (born 26 October 1992) is an Austrian karateka. She won the gold medal in the women's kumite 68 kg at the 2016 World Karate Championships in Linz, Austria. She is also a two-time gold medalist in this event at the European Karate Championships, both in 2015 and in 2017. Career She won one of the bronze medals in the women's kumite 61 kg event at the 2011 European Karate Championships held in Zürich, Switzerland. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's kumite 68 kg event at the 2014 World Karate Championships held in Bremen, Germany. She also competed in the women's team kumite event. Karate competitions at the 2015 European Games in Baku were held from 13 to 14 June 2015 at the Crystal Hall complex in Baku. The competition consisted of twelve events, six in each gender - two ''Kata'' or technique events, and ten weighted ''kumite'' or combat events. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee will be allowed a maximum of 1 competitor per event. 2021 Karate World Olympic Qualification Tournament
The Olympics Karate 2020 Qualification Tournament was held from 11 to 13 June, 2021. The event took place in AccorHotels Arena sports hall, located in Paris, France. The tournament consisted of four categories for both men and women, as determined for Tokyo 2020. Each NOC had the opportunity to register one athlete for each of the eight categories, with exception to any category where they already have an athlete qualified for Tokyo 2020 through the Olympic Standing of May 2021. The four categories for both men and women included Kata, as well as three other classes created from the combining of the remaining five ( WKF) weight categories. Lamya Matoub (born 18 January 1992) is a French-Algerian female karateka who generally competes in the kumite category. She has played in domestic level competitions in France representing Sarcelles club and shifted her focus to represent Algeria in international competitions. Irina Zaretska (born 4 March 1996) is a Ukrainian (until 2014) and Azerbaijani (since 2015) karateka. She won the silver medal in the women's +61kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
