Alik Cavaliere (1926–1998) was an Italian sculptor. He spent his life researching the meaning of life, freedom, nature, and history. An atheist and libertarian, he didn't believe in any preconceived, final structure of society, the environment, or the universe. Nor did he follow any art movements of his time, although he knew all of them and was temporarily influenced by some. He made his own way, narrating his perceptions with witty irony, through sculptures made up of a wide range of materials, disposed in a chaotic labyrinth which visitors are forced to traverse without being able to find a definitive point of view. Alik (born January 26, 1953) is a diplomat and politician from the Federated States of Micronesia who was the Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia from May 11, 2007 to May 11, 2015. Born in Kosrae, Alik completed high school in 1973 and then left the island for education in the United States, attending United States International University in Hawaii from 1973 to 1976 and then Graceland College in Iowa from 1976 to 1979. ''Alik'' was initially a weekly, and beginning 1935 it started publishing once every two days. In 1941 it became a daily and has been published continuously. The editor in chief is Terenik Melikian. The newspaper has its own publishing house and printing premises that publishes Armenian language and Iranian books.
