Alien Resurrection (soundtrack)
''Alien Resurrection: Complete Motion Picture Score'' is the official soundtrack album of the 1997 science fiction film ''Alien Resurrection''. Composed by John Frizzell, the soundtrack features themes such as romance and eroticism. Taking seven months to write and record, Frizzell included strange sound elements such as a gong and rub rods, to create a unique score. It was released on November 11, 1997. Reviews Steven McDonald of Allmusic thought it was "A dark and stormy score that fits the cold atmosphere of the film perfectly", awarding 4 out of 5 stars. Matt Peterson of ''Track Sounds'', however, was negative stating, "it is quite disarrayed and incoherent. The lack of any solid thematic material hurts the viability of this music for the film, and destroys its listening potential on CD." John Frizzell (composer)
John Frizzell (born 1966) is an American film and television composer, known for his work with Mike Judge. He scored Judge's films ''Beavis and Butt-Head Do America'', ''Office Space'' and '' Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe'' (2022), and he supplied the music for Judge's television sitcom ''King of the Hill''. Frizzell also gained notice for his score to '' Crime of the Century'' in 1996, followed by ''Dante's Peak'' and ''Alien Resurrection'' in 1997. George Frideric (or Frederick) Handel ( ; baptised , ; 23 February 1685 – 14 April 1759) was a German-British Baroque composer well-known for his operas, oratorios, anthems, concerti grossi, and organ concerti. Jerrald King Goldsmith (February 10, 1929July 21, 2004) was an American composer, conductor and orchestrator with a career in film and television scoring that spanned nearly 50 years and over 200 productions, between 1954 and 2003. ''Alien'' is a 1979 Science fiction film, science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Dan O'Bannon, based on a story by O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. It follows a spaceship crew who investigate a derelict spaceship and are hunted by a Xenomorph, deadly extraterrestrial creature. The film stars Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, and Yaphet Kotto. Artie Kane (born Aaron Cohen; April 14, 1929 – June 21, 2022) was an American pianist, film score composer, and conductor with a career spanning over six decades. As a pianist in Hollywood studios, Kane worked with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, John Williams, and Quincy Jones. He composed the music for over 250 television shows. Some of his works for television include ''Wonder Woman'', '' Vegas'', ''Hotel'', ''Dynasty'', '' Matlock'', ''A Question of Guilt'', and '' Man Against the Mob''. Maureen Forrester
Maureen Kathleen Stewart Forrester, (July 25, 1930 – June 16, 2010) was a Canadian operatic contralto. Life and career Maureen Forrester was born and grew up in Montreal, Quebec, one of four children of Thomas Forrester, a British cabinetmaker from Scotland, and his Irish-born wife, the former May Arnold. She sang in church and radio choirs. At age 13, she dropped out of school to help support the family, working as a secretary at Bell Telephone. When her brother came home from the war he persuaded her to take singing lessons. She paid for voice lessons with Sally Martin, Frank Rowe, and baritone Bernard Diamant. ''Alien Resurrection'' is a 1997 American science fiction horror film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, written by Joss Whedon, and starring Sigourney Weaver and Winona Ryder.
