Alien Contamination
''Contamination'' (a.k.a. ''Alien Contamination'', ''Toxic Spawn'' or ''Larvae'') is a 1980 science fiction-horror film directed by Luigi Cozzi, produced by Claudio Mancini and Karl Spiehs, and starring Ian McCulloch, Louise Marleau, and Marino Masé. The film is about an alien cyclops creature that uses human agents to place eggs all over Earth. The eggs release a gelatinous goo that causes people to explode when they come into physical contact with the substance. The tagline on the Italian one-sheet ("...e ora tocca a voi!") translates as "...and now it's your turn!". The film received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, however, the film score by Goblin was praised. Plot A large, seemingly abandoned ship drifts into New York Harbor. Luigi Cozzi
Luigi Cozzi (born 7 September 1947) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. At a young age, Cozzi became a fan of science fiction and began his career as an overseas correspondent for Western film magazines. After directing his first film ''The Tunnel Under the World (film), The Tunnel Under the World'', Cozzi befriended director Dario Argento and began working with him in film and television as well as directing his own features including ''Hercules (1983 film), Hercules'' as well as continuing work with Argento. Carlo De Mejo (17 January 1945 – 18 December 2015) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Rome, De Mejo was the eldest son of jazz composer Oscar De Mejo and actress Alida Valli. After a few minor roles, he had his breakout with the role of a male prostitute in Pier Paolo Pasolini's ''Teorema'' (1968). Blue Underground is an American company specializing in releasing remastered editions of cult, horror, and exploitation movies on DVD. It was founded in 2002 by filmmaker William Lustig.
