Alida Marcovici
Carmen-Alida Cioroianu Marcovici (born ) is a retired Romanian female volleyball player, who played as a middle blocker. She participated at the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Brazil, and was part of the Romania women's national volleyball team at the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Germany and 2005 Women's European Volleyball Championship. On club level she played with Boavista Porto. The 2005 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 24th edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted in Pula and Zagreb, Croatia from 17 to 25 September 2005. Participating teams Format The tournament was played in two different stages. In the first stage, the twelve participants were divided in two groups of six teams each. A single round-robin format was played within each group to determine the teams' group position. The second stage of the tournament consisted of two sets of semifinals to determine the tournament final ranking.
