Alice Maud Krige
Alice Maud Krige (; born June 28, 1954) is a South African actress and producer. Her big break came in 1981, when she starred as the Gilbert and Sullivan singer Sybil Gordon in the British historical film ''Chariots of Fire'', and as Eva Galli / Alma Mobley in the American supernatural horror film ''Ghost Story''. She received a Laurence Olivier Award for her performance in the West End theatre production of ''Arms and the Man'' (1981) and later joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. Krige starred in various British, South African, European, and American films throughout her career. She starred in ''King David'' (1985), ''Barfly'' (1987), ''Haunted Summer'' (1988), '' See You in the Morning'' (1989), '' Sleepwalkers'' (1992), and ''Institute Benjamenta'' (1995). Upington
Upington () is a town founded in 1873 and located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, on the banks of the Orange River. The town was originally called Olijvenhoutsdrift ('Olive wood drift'), due to the abundance of olive wood trees in the area, but later renamed after Sir Thomas Upington, Attorney-General and then Prime Minister of the Cape. It originated as a mission station established in 1871 and run by Reverend Christiaan Schröder. The mission station now houses the Kalahari Orange Museum. The museum is also the home of a donkey statue, which recognises the enormous contribution that this animal made to the development of the region during the pioneering days of the 19th century. The elevation of Upington is 2,742 feet (835 metres). It is the closest large centre to the Augrabies Falls (arguably the greatest of South African waterfalls) and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. ''Gretel & Hansel'' (also known as ''Gretel & Hansel: A Grim Fairy Tale'') is a 2020 dark fantasy horror film directed by Osgood Perkins and written by Rob Hayes, based on the German fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel" by the Brothers Grimm. Sophia Lillis and Sam Leakey portray the titular characters, with Alice Krige and Jessica De Gouw also starring.
