Alice Mason (runner)
Alice Clare Mason (born 15 June 1987) is a New Zealand long-distance runner. She was the 2021 national champion for New Zealand in the marathon. She runs for the Wellington Harrier Athletic Club. Career Mason ran a PB of 2:38:35 whilst finishing fifth at the Sydney Marathon in September 2019. With that performance she achieved the Olympic qualifying standard after finishing in the top five in a gold label race. A doctor, Mason had put her career on hiatus to try and qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. After the COVID-19 pandemic started however, she took a part time job again at an urgent-care centre in Tauranga. Track and field (or athletics in British English) is a sport that includes Competition#Sports, athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name used in North America is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Sam Tanner
Samuel Tanner (born 24 August 2000) is a New Zealand middle- and long-distance runner specialising in the 1500 metres. He is Māori; his iwi affiliation is Ngāpuhi. Tanner is the New Zealand indoor record holder for the 1500 metres. The Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Marathon and Half Marathon is an annual running event held in Auckland, New Zealand. The event is held in October or early November of each year, which is during the spring in New Zealand. The main feature of the event is the crossing of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, which involves a climb of 33 metres to the highest point. Hayden Wilde
Hayden Wilde (born 1 September 1997) is a New Zealand professional triathlete. He was the silver medalist at the Paris Olympics in 2024 and the bronze medallist at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, the silver medalist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the winner of the 2021 XTERRA World Championships. He finished second in the 2021 Super League Triathlon Championship Series, having taken the win at the SLT London race. Marathon
The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of kilometres ( 26 mi 385 yd), usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes.
