Alias Mary Flynn
''Alias Mary Flynn'' is a 1925 American silent drama film directed by Ralph Ince and starring Evelyn Brent. The film is considered to be lost. Plot As described in a film magazine review, John Reagan Sr. adopts Mary Flynn after rescuing her from the police who wanted her in connection with a robbery. Jason Forbes, a jewel collector, attempts to use Reagan in a plot to steal a valuable gem. When he refuses, Forbes threatens to expose an incident in Reagan's past life, and then Forbes is killed. Reagan is rescued from the electric chair by Mary, who helps to capture the culprit of the murder. Mary goes on to marry Reagan's son Tim, a young district attorney. Ralph Ince
Ralph Waldo Ince (January 16, 1887 – April 10, 1937) was an American pioneer film actor, director and screenwriter whose career began near the dawn of the silent film, silent film era. Ralph Ince was the brother of John Ince (actor), John E. Ince and Thomas H. Ince. Biography Ralph Ince was born on January 16, 1887, in Boston, the youngest of three sons and a daughter raised by English immigrants, John and Emma Ince. Sometime after his birth Ince moved to Manhattan where his entire family was engaged in theater work; his father as a musical agent and mother, sister Bertha and brothers, John and Thomas as actors. Ralph Ince studied art with cartoonist Dan McCarthy and for a while worked as a newspaper cartoonist for the New York World and later magazine illustrator for the New York Mirror and The Evening Telegram. Louis Payne
William Louis Payne (January 13, 1873 – August 14, 1953) was an American character actor of the silent and sound film eras, as well as legitimate theater. Biography Born in Pennsylvania, Payne's acting life began in the first decade of the 1900s, when he appeared in the Broadway play, ''Her Majesty, the Girl Queen of Nordenmark'', which ran at the Manhattan Theatre in 1900. In 1903 he played Nathaniel Winkle in ''Mr. Pickwick'' at the Herald Square Theatre and later the Grand Opera House. In 1906, he married famous stage actress Mrs. Leslie Carter, fifteen years her junior, and remained married to her until her death in 1937. He made his film debut in 1915's '' DuBarry'', a film created to highlight Carter, who was a protégé of the playwright David Belasco. Belasco wrote the stage play of the same name on which the film is based, and in which Carter starred on Broadway.
