Ali McCann
Alistair Edward McCann (born 4 December 1999) is a professional footballer who plays for Preston North End, as a midfielder. Born in Scotland, he represents Northern Ireland at international level. Early and personal life Born in Edinburgh, McCann and his brothers Lewis (who is also a footballer) and Ross (who is Scotland rugby 7s player) were born and raised in Scotland to a Northern Irish father and an English mother. Club career McCann moved from Hutchison Vale Boys Club to St Johnstone in 2012. He made his senior debut on 29 January 2018. McCann joined Stranraer on loan in February 2019. In May 2021 he was monitored by Celtic. He moved to Preston North End on 31 August 2021. International career McCann has played youth football for Northern Ireland, including at under-21 level. 2020–21 Scottish Cup
The 2020–21 Scottish Cup was the 136th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament did not have a sponsor, after William Hill's nine-year partnership with the Scottish FA came to an end following the 2019–20 tournament. This was the second season in which a match from every round of the tournament proper was broadcast live via TV partners Premier Sports and BBC Scotland, with one match in the first and second rounds being shown live on the BBC Scotland channel for the second time. The defending champions were Celtic, who won the 2020 Scottish Cup Final on 20 December 2020. EFL Championship
The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. Scottish League One
The Scottish League One, known as cinch League One for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League One was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If points are equal, the goal difference determines the winner. The 2018–19 Scottish League One (known as the Ladbrokes League One for sponsorship reasons) was the 24th season in the current format of 10 teams in the third-tier of Scottish football. The fixtures were published on 15 June 2018 and the season began on 4 August 2018. Ten teams contested the league: Airdrieonians, Arbroath, Brechin City, Dumbarton, East Fife, Forfar Athletic, Montrose, Raith Rovers, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer. Arbroath won the league following a 1–1 draw at Brechin City on 13 April 2019. Brechin were relegated after a 1–1 draw with Stenhousemuir on the final day.
