Algrim (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Kurse is the name of two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer/artist Walter Simonson, the Algrim version of Kurse first appears as the Dark Elf Algrim the Strong in ''Thor'' #347 (Sep. 1984). He is later transformed into Kurse in ''Secret Wars II'' #4 (Oct. 1985). Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film '' Thor: The Dark World'' (2013). Publication history The Dark Elf Algrim the Strong was created by Walter Simonson and first appeared in ''Thor'' #347 (Sep. 1984). He is introduced initially as an ally to Malekith, tasked with guarding the kidnapped Lorelei. The character was later healed and transformed into Kurse in ''Secret Wars II'' #4 (Oct. 1985) by the Beyonder. In 2015's Mighty Thor issue #14 by Jason Aaron and Steve Epting, the mantle and the powers of "Kurse" were passed on to a new host, a dark elf called Lady Waziria. Beyonder
The Beyonder () is a fictional cosmic entity appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Jim Shooter and artist Mike Zeck, the Beyonder first appeared in ''Secret Wars'' #1 (May 1984) as an unseen, nigh-omnipotent being from outside the multiverse who kidnapped the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe to have them do battle on Battleworld, a fictional planet created by the Beyonder. The character plays a more antagonistic role in the 1985 sequel, ''Secret Wars II'', in which he takes human form to learn about desire but threatens to destroy the multiverse out of increasing frustration. Following ''Secret Wars'' and ''Secret Wars II'', the Beyonder experienced many notable retcons. At first, he was changed to a Cosmic Cube that was incomplete because of the Molecule Man. Volstagg
Volstagg the Voluminous is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a charter member of the Warriors Three, a trio of Asgard (comics), Asgardian adventurers and supporting cast of Thor (Marvel Comics), Thor. He is known for having multiple children. These include, but are not limited to, Hilde, Rolfe, and the adopted Midgardians Kevin and Mick. Ray Stevenson portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films ''Thor (film), Thor'' (2011), ''Thor: The Dark World'' (2013), and ''Thor: Ragnarok'' (2017). Additionally, Fred Tatasciore, Brent Chapman, and Jay Brazeau have voiced Volstagg in animation. Publication history Volstagg first appeared in ''Journey into Mystery'' #119 (August, 1965), and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The Asgardians or Gods of Asgard are a fictional humanoid race of gods appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Some are taken from mythology while others are original creations. Fictional history They were worshipped about a millennium ago by the Norsemen of Scandinavia and various Germanic tribes, but they no longer have, or seek to have, any worshippers on Earth.
