Algot Törneman
Jarl Algot Gustav Törneman, nicknamed P. (1 September 1909 – 5 May 1993) was a Swedish enamel artist and painter. Early life Törneman was born on 1 September 1909 in Vist, Linköping Municipality, Sweden, the son of Axel Törneman and his wife Gudrun (née Høyer). He passed ''studentexamen'' in Stockholm in 1927 and received a Candidate of Law degree from Lund University in 1937. Career Törneman worked at Stockholm City Court in 1937 and STIM in 1940. He became CEO of AB Skandiastål in 1944 and AB Eda bruk in Värmland in 1948. During World War II, Törneman was part of the Swedish secret intelligence agency C-byrån. Törneman was curator at the Association Hantverket in Stockholm from 1960 to 1968. He was commissioner for a number of Swedish handicraft exhibitions abroad and for the exhibition ''Svensk form'' in 1962. Törneman held solo shows in Stockholm in 1962 and in 1974. The Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts ( sv, Kungliga Akademien för de fria konsterna), commonly called the Royal Academy, is located in Stockholm, Sweden. An independent organization that promotes the development of painting, sculpture, architecture, and other fine arts, it is one of several Swedish Royal Academies. KulturNav is a Norwegian cloud-based software service, allowing users to create, manage and distribute name authorities and terminology, focusing on the needs of museums and other cultural heritage institutions. The software is developed by KulturIT ANS and the development project is funded by the Arts Council Norway. Ernst Stenhammar
Ernst Wilhelm Emanuel Stenhammar (26 March 1859 – 9 March 1927) was a Swedish architect. He was active both as an independent architect and as a teacher and eventually professor of architecture in Stockholm. The main bulk of his designs as an independent architect were made for banks and hospitals. Biography Ernst Stenhammar was born and raised in Stockholm. He was the son of the architect and composer Per Ulrik Stenhammar (1829-1875) and brother of the composer Wilhelm Stenhammar (1871–1927). He studied architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology under Albert Theodor Gellerstedt between 1877 and 1882. While still a student, he began an apprenticeship at the architectural firm of Magnus Isæus and also made a study trip to Paris in 1881.
