Alfons X (Barcelona Metro)
Alfons X () is a Barcelona metro station, located under Ronda Guinardó and Plaça d'Alfons el Savi, named after Alfonso X of Castile, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. Opened in , the station is currently served by Barcelona metro line 4, L4. It has three entrances, one on the square itself, a second one next to Parc de les Aigües and another one on Carrer Lepant. As of 2007 it is the only metro service in the surrounding area (Can Baró), and will be until Sanllehy (Barcelona Metro), Sanllehy metro station on Barcelona metro line 9, L9 and Barcelona metro line 10, L10 is complete. The Barcelona Metro (Catalan language, Catalan and Spanish language, Spanish: ) is a rapid transit network that runs mostly underground in central Barcelona and into the city's suburbs. It is part of the larger public transport system of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain, with unified fares under the (ATM) scheme. As of 2024, the network is operated by two separate companies: (TMB) and (FGC). It is made up of 12 lines, combining the lines owned by the two companies. Ronda Guinardó
Ronda () is a municipality of Spain belonging to the province of Málaga, within the autonomous community of Andalusia. Its population is about 35,000. Ronda is known for its cliffside location and a deep canyon that carries the Guadalevín River and divides the town. It is one of the towns and villages that are included in the Sierra de las Nieves National Park. Alfonso X (also known as the Wise, ; 23 November 1221 – 4 April 1284) was King of Castile, Kingdom of León, León and Kingdom of Galicia, Galicia from 1 June 1252 until his death in 1284. During the April 1257 Imperial election, election of 1257, a dissident faction chose him to be king of Germany on 1 April. He renounced his claim to Germany in 1275, and in creating an alliance with the Kingdom of England in 1254, his claim on the Duchy of Gascony as well. Horta-Guinardó () is the name of one of the districts of Barcelona, located in its North-Eastern corner. It is named after two very heterogeneous areas of the city, Horta and El Guinardó, which together cover a large area of 11.92 km2, amounting to 11.9% of the total area of the city.
