Aleš Dryml Jr.
Aleš Dryml Jr. (born 19 October 1979) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from the Czech Republic. He earned 23 international caps for the Czech Republic national speedway team. Career Dryml and his younger brother Lukáš Dryml were introduced to speedway by their father Aleš Dryml Sr., who was a former international speedway rider. Dryml came to the British speedway leagues in 2000 when he and his brother Lukáš Dryml joined the Oxford Cheetahs for the 2002 Elite League speedway season. The pair came into the Oxford side relatively unknown because they had only ridden in the Czech Republic and Poland at the time. However, the British Authorities gave them inflated averages of 7.50 and 5.00, which would not help Oxford's 2000 league challenge as they finished second from last. Motor Lublin (speedway Team)
Motor Lublin was the name given to several Polish motorcycle speedway teams that existed in the city of Lublin in Poland. In 2017, a new team called Klub Motorowy Cross Lublin was founded and is the current team competing in the Polish leagues from Lublin. Early history Speedway racing in Lublin first took place on 21 September 1947, when Lubelski Klub Motocyklowy organised a friendly tournament. In 1948, local activists led an initiative to build a speedway track. The team's first recorded league match occurred on 18 April 1956. 1956 to 1958 During the 1956 Polish speedway season a Lublin team called Liga Przyjaciół Żołnierza (LPZ) participated in the South Group of the second league, finishing fourth. Elitserien (speedway)
Elitserien (literally, "The Elite Series") () is the highest league in the league system of speedway in Sweden and currently comprises the top eight Swedish speedway teams. The first season began in 1982. Before that Allsvenskan was the highest division. The winner of the Elitserien is crowned the Swedish Speedway Team Championship winner. 2024 Clubs History From the start of Swedish league speedway in 1948 until 1981 the highest speedway league in Sweden was called Division 1. In 1982 Elitserien was formed, consisting of only six teams where the top four teams qualified for the playoffs. Getingarna became the first winners after defeating Njudungarna in the finals. The Team Speedway Polish Championship ( Polish: ''Drużynowe Mistrzostwa Polski, DMP'') is an annual speedway event held each year in different Polish clubs organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) since 1948. In 2000, the First Division was renamed Ekstraliga, and the number of teams was reduced. The team winning the league is awarded a gold medal and declared Polish Team Champions. Teams finishing second and third are awarded silver and bronze medals respectively. The Elite League was the top division of Motorcycle speedway, speedway league competition in the United Kingdom, governed by the The Speedway Control Bureau, Speedway Control Bureau (SCB), in conjunction with the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA). It was founded in 1997 and was sponsored by Sky Sports until the end of the 2013 season. Individual Speedway European Championship
The Individual Speedway European Championship is an annual individual speedway event organized by the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) to determine the champion of Europe. The competition was founded in 2001 and was initially staged as a one-off meeting before the single event was replaced by the Speedway European Championship series in 2012. History From 1955 to 1975, the European Final was staged as the final qualifying round for the World Speedway Championship, although this did not include British riders who had a separate qualifying round. The European Championships were inaugurated in 2001, organised by European Motorcycle Union (UEM). In 2012 this was replaced by a series of four finals.
