Alexis Jones (basketball)
Alexis Jones (born May 8, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who played for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was drafted in 2017 by the Lynx. Born in Midland, Texas, she played college basketball for Duke University, before she transferred to Baylor University. College career Duke University Coming out of high school, Jones was ranked the No. 3 overall recruit by ESPN and signed with Duke. During her freshman season, she started for the Blue Devils at the shooting guard position. When teammate and point guard, Chelsea Gray, went down with an injury, Jones moved over to the point guard position. 2017 Minnesota Lynx Season
The 2017 WNBA season of the Minnesota Lynx is their 19th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Lynx finished the 2016 season with a record of 28–6, finishing first in the Western Conference (and the league as a whole) and qualifying for the playoffs, before ultimately beating Los Angeles in the WNBA Finals to win their league-tying best fourth championship. Renee Montgomery
Renee Danielle Montgomery (born December 2, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player, sports broadcaster and activist who is currently vice president, part-owner, and investor of the Atlanta Dream, and one of three owners of the FCF Beasts Indoor Football Team; making her the first player in the WNBA to become an owner and executive of a team and first female owner in the FCF. During her 11-year playing career in the Women's National Basketball Association, she won two championships with the Minnesota Lynx in 2015 and 2017. Lindsay Marie Whalen (born May 9, 1982) is the head coach of the University of Minnesota's women's basketball team. She began her professional career as a point guard for the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Whalen has won World titles and two Olympic gold medals with the United States women's national basketball team, as well as four WNBA championships with the Minnesota Lynx. Chelsea Nichelle Gray (born October 8, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Las Vegas Aces of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was the eleventh pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft. She missed the 2014 WNBA season due to injury, but she made her debut with the Sun in the 2015 WNBA season.
