Alexey Soloviev (boxer)
Alexey Soloviev (born 14 September 1973) is a Russian professional boxer who once held the IBF International heavyweight title. Alexey Soloviev was born on the fourteenth of September, 1973 in Cheboksary, Russia. He made his professional boxing debut on the twenty ninth of April, 2004 by beating Pavel Kalabin in a sixth round unanimous decision. In 2006, Soloviev won the vacant CISBB heavyweight title from Oleg Belikov. He never defended the title. In 2007, Soloviev stopped Talgat Dosanov in the eleventh round to win the IBF International. He defended it in the following year by knocking out Raymond Ochieng in the third round. Alexey retired after defeating Ibrahim Labaran in just two rounds. He had an undefeated record of 18 fights, 18 victories, and 12 by way of knockout. Cheboksary (; russian: Чебокса́ры, r=Cheboksáry, p=tɕɪbɐˈksarɨ; cv, Шупашкар, ''Şupaşkar'') is the capital city of Chuvashia, Russia and a port on the Volga River. Orthodox Stance
In combat sports such as boxing, an orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having their weaker side closer to the opponent. Because it favors the stronger, dominant side (often the right side; see laterality), the orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing and MMA. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers. Professional boxing, or prizefighting, is regulated, sanctioned boxing. Professional boxing bouts are fought for a purse that is divided between the boxers as determined by contract. The International Boxing Federation (IBF) is one of four major organizations recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) which sanctions professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). Raymond Ochieng
Raymond Andrew Ochieng (born 26 January 1977) is a Kenyan professional boxer. Career Ochieng compiled an amateur record of 169 wins with 11 losses in his career as an amateur. He turned professional on 12 December 2002, beating fellow débutante Luke Okeno by knockout in the second round. Ochieng since then went 4–3 in his next seven with three of those losses coming to Mashaka Mululu, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and Samson Onyango. He fought Vladimir Lazebnik on 11 March 2006 but lost by technical knockout in the fifth round. Ochieng then fought Konstantin Airich, losing in the second round by knockout on 21 September 2007 before taking on Timo Hoffmann on 10 October 2008, losing in the fourth round, again by knockout.
