Baronne Miriam Alexandrine de Rothschild (16 March 1884 – 15 March 1965) was an art collector and member of the Rothschild family. Early life Born Alexandrine Miriam Caroline de Rothschild in Paris, on March 16, 1884, she was the youngest child and only daughter of Edmond James de Rothschild and Adelheid von Rothschild. Personal life Relatives described Alexandrine as "similar to her cousin Alice Charlotte von Rothschild, Alice: both were highly intelligent, authoritarian and inclined to appear plain. Adelheid von Rothschild (also Adélaïde de Rothschild, 19 August 1853 – 22 June 1935) was a member of the Rothschild family. Biography Adelheid was born on 19 August 1853 in Frankfurt. She was one of three daughters of Wilhelm Carl von Rothschild and Mathilde Hannah von Rothschild of the Naples branch of the Rothschild family. Her paternal grandparents were Carl Mayer von Rothschild and Adelheid (née Hertz) von Rothschild. James Armand Edmond de Rothschild DCM DL (1 December 1878 – 7 May 1957), sometimes known as Jimmy de Rothschild, was a British Liberal politician and philanthropist, from the wealthy Rothschild international banking dynasty. Biography De Rothschild was the son of Edmond James de Rothschild of the French branch of family. He was educated at Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris and at Trinity College, Cambridge.
