Alexandre Rocha
Alexandre Nardy Rocha (born 21 November 1977) is a Brazilian professional golfer. Rocha was born in São Paulo. He had a successful collegiate career in the United States, where he attended Mississippi State University, before turning professional in 2000. He won tournaments in South America and Canada before qualifying for the European Tour at the end of 2005. He did not win enough money during his rookie season to retain his playing status and returned to qualifying school where he was the joint winner alongside Carlos Rodiles. Having lost his card on the European Tour again at the end of the 2009 season, Rocha qualified for the Asian Tour for 2010. In 2010, Rocha became the second Brazilian (after Jaime Gonzalez, who played on the PGA Tour up until 1982) to join the PGA Tour when he graduated from Qualifying School. 2020–21 PGA Tour Latinoamérica
The 2020–21 PGA Tour Latinoamérica was the ninth season of the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, the principal men's professional golf tour in Latin America, operated and run by the PGA Tour. The season began in early March 2020 at the Estrella del Mar Open in Mexico. Soon after, the schedule was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with all tournaments being postponed to mid-May. With the season remaining suspended, the PGA Tour created an eight tournament LocaliQ Series based in the United States in which tour members, along with those of the cancelled 2020 PGA Tour Canada and 2020 PGA Tour China, would be eligible to compete. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. Klas Eriksson
Klas Eriksson (born 30 July 1971) is a Swedish professional golfer. Eriksson was born in Växjö and turned professional in 1991 having won the European Amateur and the French Amateur Stoke Play Championship the previous year. He finished 45th on the Order of Merit in his rookie season, but injuries and putting problems meant he failed to retain his card at the end of the 1998 season and he was back on the Challenge Tour in 1999. Eriksson graduated from the Challenge Tour for a second time in 2001 by finishing 7th on the Rankings having won for the fourth time on the tour at the Talma Finnish Challenge. He maintained his playing status on the European Tour for four seasons before again returning to the Challenge Tour. Wil Besseling
Wil Besseling (born 9 December 1985) is a Dutch professional golfer. Besseling was born in Utrecht. He won the Dutch Amateur Match Play Championship in 2001, just two years after taking up the sport. The highlight of his amateur career came in 2006, when he won the Eisenhower Trophy in partnership with Joost Luiten and Tim Sluiter, and also finished with the lowest individual score. After turning professional at the end of 2006, Besseling played on the EPD Tour, one of the developmental golf tours based in Europe, during 2007. He finished 5th on the 2007 Order of Merit, having been in the top 20 in all but two events, with seven top tens and one victory. The Rolex Trophy was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, that is played in Geneva, Switzerland. It was played annually on the Challenge Tour since 1989. Unlike many Challenge Tour events, the Rolex Trophy has been played at the same venue, the Golf Club de Genève, every year. It is a limited field Pro-Am event. It used to feature the top 32 in the tour rankings plus four invitees, but the number of players has more recently been 42.
