Alexandre Birman
Alexandre Birman (born October 1, 1976) is Brazilian people, Brazilian footwear designer and founder of his self-titled Haute couture, couture brand, "Alexandre Birman". He is known for his trademark use of exotic skins such snakeskin, crocodile, lizard and ostrich. In November 2009, Alexandre Birman was awarded the Vivian Infantino Emerging Talent Award by industry publication Footwear News. Alexandre Birman collaborated with designer Prabal Gurung for the debut of his fall collection during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2010. Snakeskin may either refer to the skin of a live snake, the shed skin of a snake after molting, or to a type of leather that is made from the hide of a dead snake. Prabal Gurung ( ne, प्रवल गुरुङ) (born 1979) is a Singapore–born Nepalese–American fashion designer based in New York City. Early life and education Gurung was born on March 31, 1979, in Singapore to Nepali parents and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. Family members as mentioned by Prabal in his social media and interviews include his mother, older brother and older sister. His mother, Durga Rana, was a former boutique owner.
