Alexander Wynaendts
Alexander Rijn Wynaendts (born 1 August 1960) is a Dutch businessman who was CEO and chairman of the board of Aegon N.V. from 2008 until 2020. In May 2022 he was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG. Early life Wynaendts was born in August 1, 1960 in Almelo. His father Henry Wijnaendts is a longtime Dutch diplomat who was Ambassador to France from 1989 to 1997. Wynaendts attended French schools in Beirut, Jakarta and Brussels. He graduated from École Supérieure d’Electricité in Paris in 1984 and also obtained a degree in economics at the University of La Sorbonne Paris in 1984. Career Wynaendts began his career with ABN AMRO in 1984, working in the bank’s private banking and investment banking operations in both Amsterdam and London. Almelo () is a Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands. The main population centres in the town are Aadorp, Almelo, Mariaparochie, and Bornerbroek. Almelo has about 72,000 inhabitants in the middle of the rolling countryside of Twente, with the industrial centres of Enschede and Hengelo as close neighbours but also with tourist towns like Ootmarsum, Delden and Markelo only a bicycle ride away. De Hoge Veluwe National Park (; "The High Veluwe") is a Dutch national park in the province of Gelderland near the cities of Ede, Wageningen, Arnhem and Apeldoorn. It is approximately in area, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands. It is situated in the Veluwe, the area of the largest terminal moraine in the Netherlands. Most of the landscape of the park and the Veluwe was created during the last ice age. The alternating sand dune areas and heathlands may have been caused by human utilization of the surrounding lands. The park forms one of the largest continuous nature reserves in the Netherlands.
