Alexander Kuoppala
Alexander Kuoppala (born 11 April 1974) is a Finnish musician who was the guitarist for the melodic death metal band Children of Bodom from 1995 to 2003. He played on their albums '' Something Wild'', ''Hatebreeder'', '' Follow the Reaper'', and '' Hate Crew Deathroll''. He also plays on the Timo Rautiainen album ''Sarvivuori''. Children of Bodom's first world tour began in 2003 and lasted until late 2004. The tour had many sold-out concerts and marked the consolidation of the band in North America, but was also accompanied by an unexpected announcement: Kuoppala decided to quit Children of Bodom for personal reasons right in the middle of the tour. Timo Aulis Rautiainen (born 25 January 1963, in Sulkava, Finland) is a Finland, Finnish heavy metal music, heavy metal singer, guitarist and songwriter. He is best known as the singer and songwriter of Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus. He has also sung and played guitar in the bands Lyijykomppania and Aku Ankkuli. Career Rautiainen graduated from the University of Jyväskylä as a teacher of special education. In the early stages of Trio Niskalaukaus, Rautiainen was commonly represented in the main media as "The Grim Teacher", because of his strong and rather gloomy lyrics and his occupation. Roope Latvala
Roope Juhani Latvala (born 25 June 1970) is a Finnish guitarist. He is one of the founding members of the thrash metal band Stone, which was one of the first notable bands in the history of Finnish heavy metal. He was also the former guitarist for the melodic death metal band Children of Bodom from 2003 to 2015 and the co-lead guitarist for Sinergy. Biography Latvala was born in Helsinki. At the age of 15, he founded the band Stone together with Janne Joutsenniemi. The band's style was initially focused on a more traditional heavy metal, but they soon shifted to a faster and more aggressive sound, which was the key for them to receive mass recognition. In the year of 1991, the band was dissolved, with a discography of four studio albums, one live album and one compilation album. He is the main influence of many Finnish guitarists, especially Alexi Laiho (from Children of Bodom). Sinergy
Sinergy was a Finnish/Swedish power metal band started in 1997 by American musician Kimberly Goss. The idea for a "balls-out female-fronted metal band" was first formed when Kimberly Goss of Dimmu Borgir met Jesper Strömblad of In Flames whilst on tour in 1997. Tonmi Lillman's death in February 2012, Alexi Laiho's death in 2020 and Marko Hietala's departure from the public eye in January 2021 put an end to the possibility of Sinergy ever reuniting. Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The genre features the heaviness of death metal but with highly melodic or harmonized guitar riffs and solos, and often features high-pitched shrieked vocals (differing from traditional death metal) alongside the low-pitched growls commonly featured in traditional death metal. ''Follow the Reaper'' is the third studio album by Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom. It was released in Finland on 30 October 2000 by Spinefarm Records, and on 22 January 2001 internationally by Nuclear Blast Records. The album is the first on which the band seriously moved toward a power metal-inspired sound, brought by Hypocrisy frontman and new producer Peter Tägtgren. Many songs on the album became live setlist favorites, such as "Everytime I Die", "Hate Me!", and the title track. The song "Mask of Sanity" is a remake of the song "Talking of the Trees" from their early demo ''Shining'' (released as ''IneartheD'').
