Alexander Julien
Vision Eternel is a Canadian-American ambient rock band. Formed by guitarist Alexander Julien in Edison, New Jersey, United States in January 2007, the band eventually relocated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in July 2007. The musical group's sound has been described variously by critics as a blend of ambient, shoegaze, post-rock, ethereal, drone, space rock, emo, post-black metal, post-metal, dark ambient, dark wave, experimental rock, minimal, dream pop, progressive rock, modern classical, and new-age. While still based in New Jersey, the musical group also included second guitarist Philip Altobelli, though he departed before the recording of the band's second release. Once established in Quebec, the band was expanded with two more guitarists, Nidal Mourad and Adam Kennedy, but they departed before the recording of the band's third output. Edison is a township located in Middlesex County,in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Situated in Central New Jersey within the core of the state's Raritan Valley region, Edison is a commercial hub, home to Menlo Park Mall and Little India. ''For Farewell of Nostalgia'' is the sixth extended play by Canadian-American ambient rock band Vision Eternel. It was co-released by Somewherecold Records, Abridged Pause Recordings, and Geertruida on September 14, 2020, on compact disc, compact cassette, and digitally. Physical editions of the release were packaged with a short story. The extended play is a concept album themed around broken heart, heartbreak and a Dear John letter to the city of Montreal.
