Alexander Islamov
Alexander Islamov (born October 11, 1986) is a former Russian professional ice hockey centre. Islamov played in the Russian Superleague and the Kontinental Hockey League for HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk and Metallurg Novokuznetsk between 2007 and 2013. He signed for the Edinburgh Capitals in the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to as the British Elite League or, for sponsorship reasons, the Viaplay Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk (russian: Нефтехимик Нижнекамск, en, Nizhnekamsk Petrochemist) is a professional ice hockey team based in Nizhnekamsk, in the Tatarstan, a federal subject of the Russian Federation. They are members of the Kharlamov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. History Neftekhimik was founded October 23, 1968 by workers of the Nizhnekamsk Petrochemical plant to represent Nizhnekamsk in the Tatar ASSR ice hockey championship.
