Alexander Frederik Møsting
Alexander Frederik Møsting (20 November 1680 - 6 March 1737) was a Dano-Norwegian royal court official. Early and personal life Møsting was born in 1680 to army major Nicolai Abraham von Møsting, til Rønnovsholm and Kirsten Lauridsdatter Lunov. In 1414, he was married to Christine Elisabeth Juel /née Knuth, 1675–1738). She was the widow of Knud Juel with whom she had 10 children (including Carl Juel). Her parents were She was the daughter of Joachim Frederik Knuth til Leizen (1642–84) and Christine v. Wancken (died 1689). His wife wife bore him two children. Hofmeister (office)
In medieval Europe, within the Holy Roman Empire, a Hofmeister (literally "court-master" or "house-master" in German; ; , , , ; ; ) was an official who acted as an aide to royalty or to a senior nobleman or cleric. Later it became a term for a schoolmaster who looked after the welfare of students in addition to their education. Johan Albrecht With
Johan Albrecht With (1683–1754) was a Danish military officer and governor. He served as the County Governor of several counties in Norway and Denmark. He began studying at the university in 1698, and after some time, he then enlisted in the military in 1710 and was a lieutenant in the Danish cavalry. By 1719, he had advanced to the rank of lieutenant colonel in Jutland's National Cavalry Regiment. In 1721, he left the military and the following year he got a job as a translator at the Øresund customs office. King Christian VI of Denmark appointed him in 1730 to serve in Norway as the Diocesan Governor of Christianssand stiftamt (and simultaneously as the County Governor of Nedenæs amt). In 1738, he resigned and moved to Nyborg where he bought a couple of farms. Princess Charlotte Amalie of Denmark and Norway (6 October 1706 – 28 October 1782) was a Danish princess, daughter of King Frederick IV of Denmark and Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow. Life Charlotte Amalie never married. In 1725, she was placed on the list of 99 princesses regarded as suitable for marriage with Louis XV of France (which would require that she convert to Catholicism), but she was removed from the list because Denmark-Norway was an arch enemy toward Sweden, the traditional ally of France, and that such a marriage could potentially disturb the French-Swedish alliance. In the early 1730s, her brother the king tried to arrange a marriage between her and Frederick, Prince of Wales, but the negotiations did not succeed and she remained unmarried. Christian VI Of Denmark
Christian VI (30 November 1699 – 6 August 1746) was King of Denmark and Norway from 1730 to 1746. The eldest surviving son of Frederick IV of Denmark, Frederick IV and Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow, he is considered one of Denmark-Norway's more anonymous kings, but he was a skilled politician, best known for his authoritarian regime. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' (, abbreviated ''SNL'') is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. It has several subdivisions, including the Norsk biografisk leksikon. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with up to 3.5 million unique visitors per month. Paper editions (1978–2007) The ''SNL'' was created in 1978, when the two publishing houses Aschehoug and Gyldendal merged their encyclopedias and created the company Kunnskapsforlaget. Up until 1978 the two publishing houses of Aschehoug and Gyldendal, Norway's two largest, had published ' and ', respectively.
