Alexander Field (actor)
Alexander Field (1892–1971) was an English film and television actor. Career Alexander Field first appeared on stage at the London Palladium in 1912 and in the following year at the Gaiety Theatre in Manchester. He joined '' Sir Philip Ben Greet's'' Shakespearian productions and remained with them for some time. Field also played in some silent pictures before the First World War. He served in the war and, after demobilisation, he continued his stage and film careers. His stage work included a role in the original production of R.C. Sherriff's ''Journey's End'', directed by James Whale, at the Apollo Theatre in 1928. Alexander Pope Field
Alexander Pope Field (November 30, 1800 – August 19, 1876) was an American lawyer and politician. He was the 21st Attorney General of Louisiana, the 6th Illinois Secretary of State, and the 4th Secretary of the Wisconsin Territory. Biography Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he moved to Jonesboro, Illinois, studied law, and was admitted to the Illinois bar. His uncle was Nathaniel Pope. From 1822 until 1828, he served in the Illinois House of Representatives and supported Andrew Jackson as a Democrat and later became a Whig. He served in the United States Army, in the Black Hawk War of 1832 and was brigade inspector. From 1829 until 1840, he served as Illinois Secretary of State. Field moved to Wisconsin Territory and served as the territory's secretary from 1841 to 1843. He then moved to Saint Louis, Missouri, in 1845. Alexander Field is a baseball venue in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. It is home to the Purdue Boilermakers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference. The field hosted its first game in spring 2013. The venue has a capacity of 1,500 spectators that is expandable to 2,500 spectators. It is named for John and Anna Margaret Ross Alexander, Purdue alumni and the parents of former Purdue head baseball coach Dave Alexander History Construction began following the 2011 season, and the venue was scheduled to be completed for the start of the 2012 season. However, construction delays pushed back the field's completion to spring 2013. South Wood County Airport , also known as Alexander Field, is a public use airport located one nautical mile (1.85 km) south of the central business district of Wisconsin Rapids, a city in Wood County, Wisconsin, United States.
